Mini Boots/drugstore haul!

Hello there!

I took a trip to town yesterday and of course had to go into Boots and buy things which I didn't really need but which looked super pretty or interesting. I decided therefore that I would haul my little shop for you :). I apologise that there isn't that much, I'm on a strict 'no spending too much!' regime since I splashed out a week ago spending about £200 on clothes (uh oh). Hopefully more will come once I forgive myself a little.

Anyway....into the haul...

I picked up a Rimmel Scandaleyes waterproof eyeliner in 'bronze' for £3.99.

I prefer using brown eyeliner because I am super pale and fair and feel that black is sometimes too intense on my skin tone. I have previously tried Soap & Glory and Topshop waterproof eyeliners which came out pretty much black, but this one appears much more brown and has a slight shimmer so I am super excited to try this out.

Another Scandaleyes product is this shadow stick in the shade 'bulletproof beige' which was £4.49.

I lied a little, this was actually from Superdrug because although there were about six in Boots, they has ALL been used. It annoys me SOOO much when people do that. There was a tester there but I guess they thought they'd just try another six aswell.

I feel this will look really good as an all over base colour, on the waterline and in the inner corners. I put a little into my inner corners when I bought it and it stayed for ages, so it's looking good so far.

The Schwarzkopf got2b salt spray was £4.07

I am again yet to use this, but I have used salt sprays before and loved them. This one seemed to be the cheapest so I picked it up and sprayed it. Now I don't know about all of them, but for Christmas my brother bought me a Label.M one which retails for anything from £4 to like £15 and it had a very salty smell to it, don't get me wrong it was quite pleasant. Although this one has a really lovely almost fruity clean scent to it which I was not expecting. I am really looking forward to trying this out.

This Batiste dry shampoo was on offer at £1.99. BARGAIN!

This is one of their 'new' dry shampoos that strengthens and adds shine. Whether it does or not, I don't know yet. I picked this up because I am running out of my current one and this one smells pretty similar to the 'blush' one which is my current favourite. It's the typical white colour and I'm intrigued to know how/if it works.

I picked up this essie 2013 summer collection nail polish in 'Rock the Boat' for £7.99.

I love the colour of this one, it has a slight shimmer and looks lovely on the nails. I have gone into a bit more detail about this varnish in my blog post which you can find here.

Last but certainly not least, I grabbed a Revlon lipstick (it's not like the 3 million I have already are enough, am I right?) in the shade 'pink in the afternoon' for £7.49.

This for me is one of those 'my lip colour but better' lip shades and is a really pretty rose pink colour. I also love the name of it. This is one of their 'super lustrous' lipsticks and I have worn it to death already. One thing I will say is that it seems pretty drying, I find the need to put a lip balm on with it. I also got and extra £2 off with a voucher and so for the price I really don't mind.

And that is it. If you would like me to give a more in depth review or anything into any of the things I have bought, please do ask, it gives me post ideas :)

Lots of love, Lucy

Collective Haul! | TK Maxx | Topshop | Primark | Charity shops | Boots etc

Hellooo,

Sorry I haven't posted since, well a few days ago! Uni started again :( but I've finally gotten around to doing a big collective haul from things I've bought over the past 6 weeks ish. I'm sure I've shown you some things before/have forgotten something, but do forgive me.

Blue swirly bowl - I picked this up from a charity shop for 50p, nothing like a bargain!

Blue plate - This was also froma  charity shop, 50p.

Metalic plate - TK Maxx, £2. I'm having a bit of a room makeover atm, I shall perhaps do a room tour afterwards.

Owl cushion 1 - Primark, £6.

Nivea Express Hydration Primer - Superdrug, £4.99. There has been quite a big hype about this, the texture is like a primer but it sinks in like a moisturiser so I'm still a little unsure about this one atm.

Nivea Regenerating Night Cream - Superdrug, £1.99. This stuff is suuuuuper amazing for the price! It's thick and so sinks in slowly, I wake up with super-dee-duper soft skin.

Black textured skater skirt - Primark £oops I don't remember, maybe £6-£12 vast difference I know, sorry guys!

Cheater/Jaguar/Puma/otherlargecat gold and black belt - Primark, £1 in the sale

Pretty rose plate (as part of a set) TK Maxx, £Can't remember agaiiin! But they do a load of amazingly beautiful cups and mugs and plated and vases and bowls and candle holders and cookery things and....

Blue 'worn out' jar (don't use it as a vase, it's porous as I discovered) - TK Maxx, £6

Heart Garland - ASDA, £1

Set of tiny little super handy adorable shelves - TK Maxx £25

Set of 9 pairs of earings (including the two I'm wearing in the picture) - Primark, £2

Nivea Refreshing Facial Wash Gel - ASDA, £1.50. Yet to use this but am rather excited to, it's like clear and my skin loves nivea.

Nivea Extra gentle eye make up remover - ASDA, £1.50. Super amazing!

Nivea Refreshing Cleansing lotion - Boots, £3.59 but you can get it in Superdrug for £1.99.

Peach geometric print 'Modern Lux' jumper - TK Maxx, £9.99

Floral ombre jumper with studded shoulders - TK Maxx, £16.99

Gold Belt - Primark, £1 in the sale

Frill trim socks - Topshop, 3 for £8

Trio of lip glosses - Topshop.........£1 reduced from £10, now that is a bargain!

Forever 21 Haul!

hey lovelies.

I wanted to look for some printed leggings and so went over to the Forever 21 website but obviously while I was there ended up spending like another £30 on things I didn't need but fell in love with (oops!!). I hope you enjoy my little hauly. If you want to see a picture of anything being worn/ how I style it, please ask :) I've linked each of the products of similar ones in some cases, below each pic.

....................................................................................................................

I loved this jumper, well I'm a massive jumper fan anyway but most of my other are white or grey or dark blue etc and I thought that this coral one would add a very welcome splash of colour during these colder months and I could then transition it into spring and possibly even cooler summer evenings because the knit is pretty holey. The website states that it's hi-lo but it really isn't, as you can see from my picture.

Coral Jumper - £16.75

This is a bit boring, but loads of things I own are either slightly sheer or have eyelets in or as in the jumper above, are somewhat see-through. I picked this little vest in nude because I find they are ideal for helping to maintain your modesty without it standing out overly. These come in a million and five colours (slight exaggeration), but it also says that they are the 'last few units'.

I bought these extras to make the price over £50 so that I could get free P&P (any excuse!). Well I had already chosen the little owl necklace and the others came up to about the same price as postage and package and I gathered I'd rather have things like that, than pay for postage. My manicure scissors went missing and so these stainless steal ones are a welcome addition. The little compact mirror is pretty, that's my only explanation really. The adooorable little owl was an instant purchase it's aqua wings and sparkly tummy/eyes and antique gold coloured chain made it love at first sight.

(the exact ones have all gone off the website but a similar one is linked to each)
Compact mirror - £2.40
Owl Necklace - £4.90

And so onto the leggings. Although being fairly cheap I always find Forever 21 things to be of a pretty good quality. They had loads of patterned leggings but these two pairs caught my eye and I decided that they would go with a range of things in my wardrobe. This first pair are a purple/lilac/pink/green/white combo and so will go with any of those colours really. I can't wait to pair them with boots and jumpers now and then t-shirts and ballet shoes in spring :D.

These ones are black with coral and yellow and purple and green and white...and so again will go with a range of colours. I also like the fact that these are black-based. To me it makes them feel a little less summery. Planning on pairing these with the coral jumper, helloo new outfit!! They also had these in a white-based legging with the coral and yellow colour and another with blue flowers. I really do recommend these, they're fab quality, not see-through in the slightest.

And finally is this black hi-lo ish top (apologies for the crappy pictures). I have this in small but it is pretty baggy, so if you generally prefer a tighter fitted top, i'd suggest sizing down. The front is plain black but the back has this sheer triangular drape type section which makes it much more interesting. This again comes in a few colours.

And that is all. I really lover forever 21, they said on their website orders might arrive late because of adverse weather conditions but nooope, I ordered on the 22nd and they came on the 24th! although I wasn't in and so they delivered them again today. Have any of you guys bought anything from forever 21 recently?

Lots of love, Lucy xxx

Bits and Bobs Haul

Hellooo there :)

I thought i'd do a bit of a collective haul of the things i've bought in the past 2 weeks or so. There aren't many things this time, I'm sure that there were more but I've completely forgotten what i've been buying!

George @ Asda

I've bought 2 coats from George recently. I was pleasantly surprised by their clothes, having never really shopped there before. The first is this longer, padded parka. I really wanted one of these which was in Miss Selfridges for £85 but it just seemed a bit too much, this one however was £36 and is so amazingly warm, it's like wearing a duvet. It also has a fur trimmed hood and little leather style toggles to synch in the waist as you choose.

This is the second of the coats, It's a shorter wax coated parker style coat. It's quite thin so is great for wearing over big jumpers and cardigans. If I remember rightly this was £35 which was pretty reasonable also. This one is navy and has a synched in waist.

Diva @ Miss Selfridge

Last Thursday was 'Student takeover' in my town which was quite an amazing new invention of theirs where we got given goodie bags in places like HMV and Wittards and lots of shops had discounts and were handing out food and shots and things which was all rather amazing. Miss Selfridge were doing a 20% off event and I picked up some jewellery which was already in the sale, and I got the extra 20% off!

I firstly got these rings which was a set of 4 ducks (My boyfriend accidently broke one though he's still adamant the duck just fell off) they were £1.80 with the discount and I love them veeeery much!

These rings and earings were another purchase, there is a set missing which I was wearing today of earings and a ring with a rose on them. These as you can see were£3 in the sale but were £2.40 with my discount.

I also picked up a bit of a statement necklace which had a leather string and silver arrow head style deco, I would have taken a picture but I've left it at Liam's :O

Primark

I grabbed this waist belt in Primark to put around a dress I have for a night out which is happening Thursday. This was £4 so not bad at all.

I secondly bought some more of their suede style flats but in navy blue. these were £6!

New Look

The last thing I bought was some studded slippers from NewLook for £17.99, they are however too big so I'll have to go exchange them.

And that is all :) Thank you for reading :)

Lots of love, Lucy xx

Cheap Disco Pants! (and mini missguided haul)

Heyyyy guys :)

So if you saw my Missguided wishlist (here if you're interested) I said about some disco pants style leggings I wanted for £25.99. The original Disco pants are like £75 or something similar from American Apparel. I would absolutely love to own a pair but considering i'm a poor student, I had been looking for a cheap alternative and came across the most amaaaazing pair on missguided.com. Disco pants, in case you're not familiar with them, are like a trouser mixed with jeans mixed with leggings. The material is a really thick legging material and they have a wet look to them, what makes them a bit different is that they have a button and zip fastening like your everyday jeans and also pockets at the back. I really dislike it when girls wear leggings which are see-through and you can see their pants, but these are so thick it's just like wearing jeans.

This was the blouse I picked up from there aswell. I didn't realise the back was like draped. Not sure if I like it or not at the moment though.

Thank you very much for reading. Hope you've had a fab day. If you have time I would really really really appreciate it if you could go and click over there on the left somewhere, about what you'd like as a 100 followers give-away. They're all 3-a-piece atm which isn't so helpful haha.

Lots of love, Lucy xx

Boots Haul!

Hey guys :)

I love Boots, it is by far my favourite place to shop in the whole world, if I could live there, I would. so anyway I went there to pick up a few things the other day and ended up getting more things than I'd anticipated so I decided to do a little haul :)

I really like the idea of the Boots Botanics range. It is pretty much a range of skin care which uses as many organic ingredients as possible. I picked up their nourishing cleanser as I previously used simple's but fancied something a bit different. It smells of roses and seems to be working pretty well although I've only been using it for the past few days.

I also got a facial oil which is not something I've seen before but reviews for it said it was really good and reading the box also made me want it. It contains 100% organic ingredients and states that it is scientifically proven to lock in moisture for 8 hours. It says it can be used morning and night but so far I've found it's a little too greasy to use in the morning but it a great night time moisturiser.

I will do a full review of these two ones I've had a bit more use out of them so keep your eyes peeled :)

I picked up rather a few nail polishes on the trip. The first is Essie's 'no chips ahead' top coat which claims that it can prolong a manicure for up to ten days. So far it seems to be pretty good, there are a few chips, but not as many as usual. It was quite pricey at £8.99 but I'be been looking for a good top coat for ages.

I also bought three Barry M varnishes. The first (left to right) is a 'web effect' nail varnish which I'm guessing is for Halloween. It is a bright orange colour which is very fitting. I tried it the other day and it never worked, but I was using it on dry nail varnish and apparently the base coat cannot be completely dry so I'll try it again soon. The second along is 'burgundy Croc'. This is exactly the same colour as their 'Raspberry' nail varnish which I love. Third along is 'pink sapphire glitter' which is an amazing pink and rainbow coloured glitter, it is super pretty!

the last nail varnish I got was one from Rimmel and I believe it's one of their newer ones. It's part of their metal rush collection and this one was called 'Purple reign'. It's a lovely deep purple with flecks of silver, blue, gold and pink.

I love St Ives face scrubs and said in my Monthly Favourites that I wanted to pick up their gentle and blemish fighting ones too. I decided instead to just get the gentle one, as I can use this every day, which is something my skin definitely needs. I also got the body scrub which seems very similar to their invigorating face scrub. It smells the same and has a very similar texture. I can't wait to use it and compare it to my usual Soap and Glory body scrub.

Finally I picked up a 'balmi' which I have heard lots about recently. It's a round shaped tub which you unscrew and it then has a ball of lip balm inside which is very handy. I got it in strawberry and it is delicious. I would tell you whether it's amazing at moisturising your lips or not, but I usually end up licking it off pretty quickly so I can't really comment.

Thanks for reading :) Have you used any of these products before?

Lots of love, Lucy xx

Benefit Haul

Hey Guys,

This is only a little Benefit haul (little but it cost enough!!) but I was far too excited not to share it with you. So my much loved Maybelline BB cream ran out and I find it impossible to ever get a foundation which matches my skin tone. I'm very pale with pink toned skin and the large majority of foundations either turn me even paler, turn me bright orange or look super cakey. There was no BB cream in light so I thought I'd look at the Benefit foundation, I had no intention to buy it but fancied looking a bit posh stood at the counter. So the lady came along and asked if I'd like to try it and I gladly caved in. So she used all of their moisturisers, primers, concealers, blushers ad the foundation and I quite frankly fell head over heels with the look of it as soon as I saw it. So I not only bought the foundation, but also the concealer and a tester size of the primer, moisturiser and an eye cream. They were all pretty damn pricey, my usual concealer is £5 but usually goes within 2 or so months but this one always get reviews saying it lasts ages, so it is worth it in the log run. Anyway after the super long intro, here are the products :P...

Hello Flawless Foundation, POREfect Radiance sample kit, Erase Paste

Thank you veeery much for reading. I shall be doing a review of all three purchases once I've used them for a bit :)

BIG PRIMARK HAUL!

Hey everyone :)

So I hit Primark today searching for clothes for the colder weather considering my wardrobe currently consists of T-shirts, Ballet shoes, a few dresses, jeans and not much else. Here are the results...

Firstly let me apologize for the crappy picture quality. I'm at my boyfriends and his lighting is not particularly good, I'm also using my phone instead of a camera. I picked up two skater skirts, the stripey wine and black coloured one was £7 and the plain blue was £6. I'm planning on wearing these with a jumper and boots. They're not the greatest quality but i'd rather have a few of slightly less great quality which I can swap and change, than one amazing quality which I wear all the time.

This dress is black by the way, not navy just as a side note but anyway. I think that is is amaaaazing value for money. This is a body con dress that has sheer fabric around the bottom of the dress, except for a section at the front, which is floor length. I've seen these on quite a few people whilst out clubbing and in rather a few magazines. The most amazing thing however, about this dress is that it was £15. I was shocked and just had to get it, the body con part is really thick material too, so it'll be good for wintery nights out.

I already have a pair of Primark's flats on the left, in black, I was preferably looking for a studded pair which I've seen floating around the blogosphere and on YouTube. They didn't have any of those but they did have some navy blue ones which I really loved and they are only £6, plus I already knew that they were super comfy so it was a done deal. The boots I completely love! I'm a sucker for Primark boots although usually they seem a little lacking in the quality department but these are gorgeous. They're a faux leather and have a little heel so they seem pretty hard wearing and waterproof. The lining is also pretty (green with little brown polka dots). These were £15 so were not bad for a pair of boots, although they are pretty thin so I feel when the weather starts getting super cold, I will invest in some thicker ones from Office or somewhere, where I know they'll last me a few years.

I do like Primark's jumpers, they have so many in at the moment although all the ones I was going for had completely gone in my size :(. Although some of their jumpers feel as though they'd be itchy, some look really long or have a strange neckline and some have crazy colours. When I saw this one it went straight in the basket. It's a really soft material and has these little knitted wavy lines going up and down it. On the label, the colour is described as cream but it has red and blue flecks all over it. This was £14 but I can tell that it's going to be a very warm and well loved garment this A/W.

POLAR BEAR PYJAMAS! I needed some new long pyjamas and I saw the polar bear top from like a mile away (I LOVE polar bears). I don't have much to say about these except for the fact that they are super cute and really soft, plus the colours and patterns are pretty. The top was £3 and the bottoms were £5. Would it be wierd if I went and bought the polar bear top to wear out? probably haha.

Finally I've been eyeing up this red bag in primark for ages. It is a deep red almost wine colour and the flap is ostrich print which is all over the place atm. I loved the colour for Autumn. I really need to stop buying bags but I've not stopped liking this for weeks and I don't have a red bag at all plus this was only £9. Finally I picked up a pair of tights, not super intresting really haha, they were £2.50.

Thank you very much for reading. If you've done a haul recently link me to it and I will take a look :)

Lots of love, Lucy xx
