What I Got For Christmas!!

Hey guuuuys,

So I have finally gotten around to my 'what I got for Christmas post' and I know that you guys totally haven't had enough of Christmas yet (I'll keep telling myself that). So here it is :)

Firstly are some Ted Baker goodies which I got off my cousin and family. I'm always a fan of anything smelly and I like the Ted Baker scent, it also came in a lovely magnetic wash bag.

These are 2 sets of lipbalms, three are Hello Kitty and three are Cute or What. They are real nice colours as you can possibly see in the close-ups. The top one has multi-coloured glitter in and the other two have gold and iridescent blue glitters.

This is just a bit of a mash up of lovely things which I received  The first is a Ted Baker bag which I got off my Uncle. The second is a Betty and Walter set off Mum and Dad which came with the most amaaaazing Elderflower and Lemon hand cream along with a little double sided mirror, a nail file and rose scented lip balm and ofcourse the make up bag. I absolutely love Betty and Walter things, they look really lovely and vintage. The third picture are some other bits and pieces all of my parents including the New Years Eve DVD, Books, Colouring books, sweets and crayons (I am 20, not 12, promise!) and also some M&S shimmery 'smellies' from my mums friend.

This bad boy I was super excited to see on Christmas morning. It is the Benefit 'Let there be bright' which includes full sized triple facial emulsion which is like an intensive moisturiser, full sized It's Potent eye cream, a 'luxury' sample sized Pore Fessional and a sample sized total moisture face cream. I am a mad fan of Benefit and they smell amazing. I may well do a review of these.

I had this on my Christmas list and I love them. I was an avid user of the brown smoulder khol before and so was dying for this. The other colours are beautiful and the eye shadows are pretty damn pigmented and creamy.

These are some luuuurvely Lush goodies, the box was off my Boyfriends parents and the bag of lovely things was off my brother (he did goooood this yearr!!!!) So the Lush gift box was the 'Snow Fairy' one and contains the angel delight soap, shimmy shimmy massage bar and snow fairy body wash (which isn't in the piccy). From my bro I got the Father Christmas bath bomb, Melting snowman massage bar and also the Christmas Eve bubble bar and mini charity pot which are in the next collage. I LOVE Lush things and have managed no not use all of them so that I could take this picture, that right there is will power lol.

This is a Jerome Alexander make-up stack which my Auntie and Uncle bought me, I'm pretty unfamiliar with the brand but they seem to be pretty expensive and make lots of mineral things, which would explain the mineral bronzer and blush.

And finaaaaally, the new love of my life, my Michael Kors rose gold watch! I love this soooooo much and have wanted it for ages, we bought back in like September or something and Christmas couldn't come quick enough. It's really beautiful and I know it's going to last me many many years :)

And that is all. I was very spoilt and am completely grateful of all of my lovely family and friends for the presents. If you guys would like a review or a more specific post on anything, just say, post ideas are always more than welcome.

Love you all! Lucy xxx

DIY | Lip Scrub

Hey guys :)

So The Lush lip scrubs are all around the blogosphere at the moment and I've also seen a few DIY versions of it. I am therefore today going to show you my own version of the lip scrubs using things you will probably find around your home.

You Will Need:
- Half a tablespoon of petroleum jelly (vaseline)
- A small container
- About 4 teaspoons of sugar
- A microwavable bowl
- food colouring (I suggest pink, red or some other 'lip-like' colour.
- Flavouring

Firstly start by placing the petrolium jelly into the microwavable bowl and heat in in the microwave for a few minutes untill completely melted. (I melted mine for around 4 minutes but this will be different for you depending on the wattage of your microwave)

When it has all melted (BE CAREFUL, the bowl will be very hot) add your colouring and flavouring. My dodgy corner shop only apparently supplies red food colouring which is like jelly and you tip it upside down and then it explodes everywhere, my mixture was therefore way darker than I wanted it to be :(. But put in a few drop and stir, do this until you have your desired colour and flavour.

Spoon in the sugar and gently fold the mixture (don't stir it vigorously otherwise the sugar will dissolve).

Finally pour the mixture into the little tub, put the lid on and place it into the fridge of around half an hour untill it is set.

And there you have your lip balm/scrub with any flavour and colour you want :). I used red colouring and vanilla essence as this is the only one that was sold in the shop, but why not try strawberry flavouring or mint (or any you want to).

Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy making a lip balm/ scrub :)

Lots of love, Lucy xx
