Autumn/Winter perfumes

Hey Guys :)

I am once again posting like a post man on post tablets.
I've been searching high and low for an Autumn/Winter perfume but just can't seem to find one! I'm therefore gunna take you on a bit of a perfume tour with me, giving my views on some scents in the shops and being advertised tonnes atm to see if I think they smell Autumn/Wintery...

Ellie Saab 'Le Parfum' - This is a lovely 'Citrussy' yet floral smell...Boots.com describes it as...

Airy, luminous, addictive
The fragrance opens with a soaring harmony of delicately acidulated Mandarin blossoms.
The heart unfolds into a veil of radiant crystalline white flowers, supported by Gardenia and Orange blossom.
The delicious Rose Honey softness of the base envelops the skin like precious chiffon.

You really can smell the citrus smells in this, which does however make me feel it's a bit more of a summery smell compared to an A/W smell. This retails at £33.00 for 30ml.

Calvin Klein 'Euphoria' - This one if deffinately more fruity than the previous perfume. It's not my favourite either. Some part of it reminds me of the smell of my grandma...which is nice, but a little odd at the same time. feelunique.com describes the scents as...

Top notes: Pomegranate, Japanese Apple, Green Leaves.
Heart notes: Rose Hip, Lotus, Black Orchid.
Base notes: Red Woods, Black Violet, Cream Accord, Liquid Amber.

This was apparently part of Calvin Kleins Spring collection so isn't one i'd go for in the colder months. It retails at £29.00 from Boots and so is pretty reasonable for a high end perfume.

Gucci 'Premiere' - This is much more of a musky smell and so feels suitable for A/W. The smell isn't too strong either. This one is described by boot.com as...

Top notes: Bergamot, orange blossom
Heart notes: White flowers, musk
Base notes: Leather, wood

This smell wouldn't feel out of place on Bonfire night or on a day in the park jumping on crunchy leaves. The only downside is that a 30ml bottle of this costs £45.00!

Viktor & Rolf 'Flower Bomb' - This is the first perfume by this brand and it is a really lovely light floral scent but regardless I still feel it would be pretty suitable for A/W. Boots.com describes this one as...

A millefeuille flowers surround the freesia, rose centifolia, osmanthus and jasmine sambac, supported by a background of patchouli.

Despite not knowing what half of these words mean it's pretty easy to tell that it is a floral smell.

The downside of this is again the price. For a 50ml bottle of this is £55.00!! and that is just for an Eau De Toilette, the shower gel alone is £42.50.

What would you recommend as a great A/W perfume?

Thank you so much for reading guys.

Lots of love Lucy xx

Wish List | A/W 2012

Hey Everyone,

I've decided to just do a short blog post about things i'm lusting after, for this A/W.
Firstly I reaaaallly want Topshop's studded Vectras or just some studded ones in general, the cheaper the better.
I also want some skater/jersey skirts to wear with thick tights and jumpers to be all snuggly, yet still girly when the weather gets colder.
I love the printed jeans fashion and especially these ones from Topshop, they're £40 and have a really pretty paisley print in 'Autumny' colours.
I love spike bracelets and this pack of four is lovely, they are again from Topshop.
I really like the Chelsea ankle boots from New Look, they are really easy to just slip on and are only £19.99
I am always looking out for comfy jumpers for winter and I saw this jumper in Miss Selfridge and fell in love. It's £39 so a little on the expensive side but I think the colours and pattern are gorgeous.
Finally I saw these lace-up boots in Topshop and thought that they were really different, they also look so cute on. The only trouble is that I have this gorgeous leather jacket from Miss Selfridge and i'm not sure if these boots would go with it :O

Thanks for reading :) What's on the top of your wish list this A/W?

Lots of love, Lucy xx
