Ok, so it isn't really because I'm at uni, not school and we're still on Christmas holidays until February, which is one of uni's few perks. I still enjoyed as much as snow day though, having numerous snow fights and attempting to build a snowman. I love it when you go to sleep and everything is normal outside and then you wake up to what can only be compared to Narnia. Almost every school in my county has been closed and I ensure you, if it is like this tomorrow I shall go sledding after work, might even sled home from work! Heres a little collection of pictures taken on this very magical day :)

A Picture An Hour 17/01/13
Why hello there guys!
Soooo Yesterday was a pretty 'do nothing' day but I decided to do something which I have seen floating around the blogosphere and that is taking a picture every hour from When I wake up until bed time. This isn't super exciting because nothing that extraodinary happened, but it's a sort of, follow me around for a day thing and it took rather a lot of 'OOH AN HOURS GONE, PICTURE TIME' and editing and whatever else and so I hope you guys like it...
And it is currently 5 to one and so I'm off to bed (after Big Bang Theory). I really enjoyed doing this and am thinking about doing one more often, maybs one a week? I'd love to hear your guys' opinions :)
Have a lovely Friday!
Lots of love, Lucy xx

Benefit skincare review
Why hi there guys,
This is the Let There Be Bright set I've already talked about the pore fessional primer in a number of posts so I'll concentrate mainly on the moisturisers and eye creams today :)
The first think is this 'Triple performing facial emulsion' which claims to protect, hydrate and comfort. It's a really thin sheer liquid which is oil free, I reckon this would be good for use in the summer when you don't want anything overly heavy. It soaks in really well and gives the skin a smooth feel. I have dry skin and usuauly use a pretty intense moisturiser but this smells so amazing I wanted to use it, it also says it has a 'tri-radiance' complex which helps to capture water and keep it on the skin's surface. I thought it would be pretty good at moisturising but after a week I was getting dry patches which went when I went back to using my usual one. So I guess this isn't quite moisturising enough for me :( I will still use it though do not worry :L. I thoroughly recommend this for those of you with oily skin. It retails for £19.50 so not all that bad for the price either.
I LOVE this stuff!
The It's Potent eye cream claims to help fade dark circles and smooth fine lines. Both me and mum suffer from dark circles and the benefit lady told us it takes around two weeks to start seeing a difference, mum used a small tester size for around a month and her dark circles faded quite a bit. It contains lots of fruit extracts and different things which do different things (I know, my explanations are rather amazing). It seems to be less fragranced for the eye area which I like and is somewhat peach in colour which helps those dark circles. Overall, recommend for anyone and everyone and their mums, aunties, grans, nans, sisters, daughters, nieces...dads?
This stuff is lovely, I just wish it was in a bigger jar, I may have to invest, but for £26.50 I'm not sure if my pockets will allow me. This is a much thicker consistency than the face emulsion, think night cream/a little thinner than body butter, and is for 'normal to dry skin' which is meee! It has the same tri-radiance complex thingy and also had mango butter in it. It smells luuuurvely! But I'm not sure I can justify spending that much.
Overall I am pleasantly surprised by the benefit skincare range and really want to try other things like their face wash and spot treatment. All range from sort of £10 for a set of samples to £26.50 for the total moisture cream. I do suggest having a look though, it feels very luxurious and looks it with amazingly pretty glass bottles and cork-style lids. I would say, as far as I can see with these, you do pay for what you get, especially with the eye cream I know of many very expensive eye-creams which either do the same or less. They do obviously do sample sizes. so if you're interested but a little apprehensive I do suggest picking up some of those. For example THIS set :)
So thank you very much for reading guys and I hope this post has been somewhat helpful or interesting. Have you ever tried any of the Benefit skincare range or would you like to?
Love from Lucy xx

MY 20th, presents, cake and OOTNs
Hey guys :D
Sooooo last Monday was my 20th Birthday and I had a lovely day staying at home with my family and then going out with Liam in the evening for a meal and movie (Life of Pi is AMAZING). I also had a load of lovely presents of family, family friends, and my besties. Cue the pic...
I am a Soap and Glory addict like 90% of the female population and so was rather excited when I opened this off my uncle. It came in a rather large zippy bag (bottom left) and contained a load of goodies. My godmother bought me the Beyonce heat perfume set which is actually really lovely.
A family friend bought this models own bag to our house one day, I tried peeking on numerous occasions but she's sellotaped it all up. I'm still excited looking at it now because I've never really paid much attention to anything modelsown except for nailvarnish and my eyelash curlers but this little bag of goodies contained a nail file, nail clippers, super pigmented eyeshadow powder thingys, a lipgloss, liquid eyeliner, nail art pen, lip liner, eye liner, 2 nail varnishes, a lipbalm and eye shadow applicators. HECK YES! I can't wait to try them all out now that these pics have been taken. I also got a beautiful Cath Kidson wash bag which has been used many times already.
My cake was a very yummy tatty ted cake which I blew out and then re-lit to take this picture. My main present and also presents from my bro, aunties, uncles, cousins, gran, friends, family friends etc was money which alllll went to buy my ipad screenshoted right there ^^^. I am so thankful and love them all very much.
These are all presents off my bestests which came in a very lovely princess/castle bag. They bought me three pairs of socks (two not in this pic) a lovely frame with a picture of the five of us in and a realll lovely Pandora charm. We always put either 10-20 pounds each depending on the age and buy a group present which results in amazing presents like these! And if they ever read this... LOVE YOU ASHY, SOPH, HAN AND AB!
I had two nights out. One was my offish Bday night out in which I wore the bottom left dress and amazingly sparkly shoes, and the second was a Saturday which usually equals mega high entrance fee of like £10 and extra expensive drinks prices, however our main club sends out 'free entry and Q-jump' tickets on your Birthday to use on a Saturday and so it had to be done!
The dress in the top left picture is from Miss Selfridge and was in the region of £35-£40.
The bottom left dress was from House of Fraser in the sale for £22
And the AMAZING shoes were from New Look for £6!! I KNOW. I love them!
Thanks for reading guys. I feel I've been mainly showing you presents recently and talking about Christmas, which is 11 months and 10 days away btw (EEK) but not to fear, my constant assignment writing and like 10500 words have all been handed in YAAAAAAAAY, and so I shall be reviewing many things in the coming few weeks and also hopefully doing some hauls and OOTD/Ns.
Lots of love, Lucy xxx

What I Got For Christmas!!
Hey guuuuys,
So I have finally gotten around to my 'what I got for Christmas post' and I know that you guys totally haven't had enough of Christmas yet (I'll keep telling myself that). So here it is :)
So I have finally gotten around to my 'what I got for Christmas post' and I know that you guys totally haven't had enough of Christmas yet (I'll keep telling myself that). So here it is :)
Firstly are some Ted Baker goodies which I got off my cousin and family. I'm always a fan of anything smelly and I like the Ted Baker scent, it also came in a lovely magnetic wash bag.
These are 2 sets of lipbalms, three are Hello Kitty and three are Cute or What. They are real nice colours as you can possibly see in the close-ups. The top one has multi-coloured glitter in and the other two have gold and iridescent blue glitters.
This is just a bit of a mash up of lovely things which I received The first is a Ted Baker bag which I got off my Uncle. The second is a Betty and Walter set off Mum and Dad which came with the most amaaaazing Elderflower and Lemon hand cream along with a little double sided mirror, a nail file and rose scented lip balm and ofcourse the make up bag. I absolutely love Betty and Walter things, they look really lovely and vintage. The third picture are some other bits and pieces all of my parents including the New Years Eve DVD, Books, Colouring books, sweets and crayons (I am 20, not 12, promise!) and also some M&S shimmery 'smellies' from my mums friend.
This bad boy I was super excited to see on Christmas morning. It is the Benefit 'Let there be bright' which includes full sized triple facial emulsion which is like an intensive moisturiser, full sized It's Potent eye cream, a 'luxury' sample sized Pore Fessional and a sample sized total moisture face cream. I am a mad fan of Benefit and they smell amazing. I may well do a review of these.
I had this on my Christmas list and I love them. I was an avid user of the brown smoulder khol before and so was dying for this. The other colours are beautiful and the eye shadows are pretty damn pigmented and creamy.
These are some luuuurvely Lush goodies, the box was off my Boyfriends parents and the bag of lovely things was off my brother (he did goooood this yearr!!!!) So the Lush gift box was the 'Snow Fairy' one and contains the angel delight soap, shimmy shimmy massage bar and snow fairy body wash (which isn't in the piccy). From my bro I got the Father Christmas bath bomb, Melting snowman massage bar and also the Christmas Eve bubble bar and mini charity pot which are in the next collage. I LOVE Lush things and have managed no not use all of them so that I could take this picture, that right there is will power lol.
This is a Jerome Alexander make-up stack which my Auntie and Uncle bought me, I'm pretty unfamiliar with the brand but they seem to be pretty expensive and make lots of mineral things, which would explain the mineral bronzer and blush.
And finaaaaally, the new love of my life, my Michael Kors rose gold watch! I love this soooooo much and have wanted it for ages, we bought back in like September or something and Christmas couldn't come quick enough. It's really beautiful and I know it's going to last me many many years :)
And that is all. I was very spoilt and am completely grateful of all of my lovely family and friends for the presents. If you guys would like a review or a more specific post on anything, just say, post ideas are always more than welcome.
Love you all! Lucy xxx
